Golf Sportsvan, Touran en Sharan uitgeroepen tot Gezinsauto's van het Jaar 2015
Tijdens de IAA in Frankfurt werden de Volkswagens Golf Sportsvan, Touran en Sharan gisteren bekroond met de titel "Gezinsauto van het Jaar 2015." Lezers van de Duitse titels AUTOStraßenverkehr en ELTERN kozen de drie Volkswagens tot winnnaars binnen hun respectievelijke prijssegment, uit in totaal 150 auto's die meedongen naar de titel.

Almost 20,000 readers of AUTOStraßenverkehr and ELTERN took part in the vote for this year's family car of the year. Three Volkswagen models won by a mile the favour of the readers: the Golf Sportsvan, the Touran and the Sharan.
The requirements for a family car are complex: storage space, functionality, consumption, individual solutions and, last but not least, the price are important criteria for a purchase decision. According to the readers of AUTOStraßenverkehr and ELTERN, the Golf Sportsvan – in the price range from EUR 15,000 to EUR 20,000 – provides the perfect combination for families with increased space requirements.
In the price range of EUR 20,000 to EUR 25,000, the Touran won the day with the best individual results in 2015. More than 47 per cent of the readers picked out the family van as their favourite. Still in September, Volkswagen will launch the completely newly designed Touran, which is a winner with a powerful design and a variety of intelligent detailed solutions. The generous interior space and extremely fuel-efficient engines make the new Touran again an ideal everyday companion.
The multivariable Sharan won in the price range of EUR 30,000 to EUR 35,000. It is available in three basic versions with five, six or seven seats, which offer maximum variability thanks to the Easy Fold seating concept. In addition, the Sharan features excellent ergonomics, two integrated child seats, up to nine airbags and 33 stowage facilities as well as 2,430 litres of cargo space.
In the readers' choice of "Family Car of the Year", the readers and online users nominate once a year their favourites from a catalogue of 150 cars. The readers' choice is conducted together with the partner magazine ELTERN (‘Parents') for this cooperative project. The awards were presented today at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt.
